In 1922, the Superior Local, a member of the United Mine Workers of America, built the Union Hall, a parallelogram building that still stands today.
The Union Hall quickly became a social center and utilized for many things, including a bowling alley, grocery store, saloon, skating rink and meeting hall. In the summer of 1991, the Union Hall was structurally stabilized and converted into an interpretive park. |
